About me

Life Coach Counsellor Mediator Psychotherapist

Gayle Joubert

BA GQHP Dip Hyp. Nth ILP

I have been a student of psychology for nearly forty years – in case you are wondering, I was born in 1957!(  I could get a free bus pass these days I believe).

Initially my training and counselling practice began in South Africa, and my family moved to the UK in 1997.

My fascination with ‘people’ is a never ending search of discovery and learning. Why do we do what we don’t want to do? Why don’t we do what we do want to do? What drives us? Why is it sometimes so difficult for us to just get along? Why, why, why? These questions have driven me since was in High School.

Over the past several years my searches and studies have led me to a practice that is Transpersonal and Holistic. As you will notice, ‘mindfulness’ is very much a part of that.

I have qualifications in:

Mediation (Family specialism)

Hypnotherapy

Agape Therapy

Counselling

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, a Meridian Therapy)

Nutritional Therapy

Foundation Kinesiology

Regression Therapy

Hypnosis in Childbirth

Emergency Hypnosis

Certified Specialist in OCD and Anxiety disorders.

Talk on local radio:

It is incredibly satisfying to help people to find a new level of understanding and respect for themselves and others.

On a personal note…

Much of my study has been through self-learning, and I carried this love of learning through to my parenting. My three wonderful adult children were home educated and all have now completed university degrees and are living life to the full. I had three most important goals as a parent: That my children should (a) be happy and secure within themselves, (b) follow their interests and live the life they choose, and (c) love learning. All of those things have been achieved and long may that continue!

When I get any spare time, I return to my love of craft and spend wonderful ‘me’ time in my pottery studio!

Finally…

I have both ‘been there’ and learned to break new ground. I would love to help you too – give me a call!

The mind is a wonderful slave, but a terrible master! In order to be the master of our lives and destinies, we must first become master of our own minds!
