Reflections on Life
Let’s get real. There is no “happily ever after.” Intellectually, you already know that. Yet somewhere deep down there may still be a childhood program running that says:
“It will all be okay when…”
I am not suggesting that life is awful. Reality lies somewhere in between. Life is less a destination than a roller coaster.
We want, achieve, are elated for five minutes, then want again. That is normal human behaviour. Understanding and accepting the pattern gives us a sense of control and stops us from staying stuck in dissatisfaction.
There may be no “happily ever after,” but there are plenty of “live happily now” moments.
What you will find in these articles
My writing explores reflections on life, relationships, personal growth, and the experiences that shape us.
The intention is not to offer a quick fix. There is no such thing.
A Buddhist saying captures the point well:
Before enlightenment, fetch wood, carry water.
After enlightenment, fetch wood, carry water.
What changes is the internal life and how you live the ever-changing present.
I offer only my opinions, reflections, and experiences. I hope you find them useful.
