When irrational fear takes hold
You may be surprised to find that anxiety, phobias, panic attacks and OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) are more common than you think amongst the general population. I am a specialist in Anxiety and OCD disorders, and would be delighted to help you, as I have helped many others!
You may be even more surprised to know that it is not always in your mind! Many disorders such as depression, anxiety, and even obsessive thoughts, can be caused or made worse by unbalanced chemistry in the body, and what you eat is vitally important! Why? Because anything that stresses your body will create ‘fight or flight’ chemicals and your body will react with panicky feelings. Your mind will then try to find meaning for those feelings and the cycle of stress gets worse.
We have all had fear, and fear is a good thing that helps us to stay safe. It is when fear becomes irrational and is affecting your life, personality and relationships that it becomes debilitating. The easiest way to deal with it, is to get some expert help. What have you got to lose? Only the fear itself!
There are a few techniques that I (or your favourite therapist) can use to help you with your fear, phobia or panic attacks: EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique); Hypnotherapy; Psychotherapy – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Energy Healing – or a combination of these.
Treatment for phobias –
Aside from general anxiety and stress, common phobias, fears and anxieties that I treat, usually using EFT and hypnotherapy:
Fear of Flying
Fear of Heights
Fear of what other people think
Fear of Spiders or insects
Fear of Death or Illnesses
Fear of Public Speaking
and, of course, many more!
If it is irrational, if it is affecting your life, get it sorted! You won’t regret it!
